 The parties discussed the current situation in the temporary occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, as well as the inaugural summit of the Crimea Platform on August 23, 2021 and the functioning of the permanent Office of the Crimea Platform. Mr. Ambassador reaffirmed Australia’s support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

During the meeting, the participants of the preparatory courses discussed with the Mission team the problematic issues, shared their impressions and plans for further study. 

Permanent Representative emphasized that cooperation with young people is an important component of reintegration policy of the Mission, and promised to make every effort to resolve the difficult situations that arise when Crimean citizens are trying to realize their rights.

On June, 28 the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine amended its resolution №1236 dated 9 December 2020 “On the establishment of quarantine and the introduction of restrictive anti-epidemic measures in order to prevent the spread of acute respiratory disease Covid-19 in Ukraine caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2”. Such amendments should help to identify and counteract the spread of Coronavirus, particularly its Delta-variant.

According to the resolution persons, intending to cross the entry-exit checkpoints at the administrative boundary line with the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol should have a document confirming the completion of a full course of vaccination against COVID-19 with a vaccine approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) for emergency use or medical certificate 063-O on first vaccination (excluding persons under the age of 18). Such persons will have to pass free express -test to determine coronavirus antigen SARS-CoV-2.

We propose new border crossing rules to reduce the possibility of spreading the virus in Ukraine if someone falls ill abroad. It will also enable us to carry out better epidemic investigations in the event that a host is found. Self-isolation or observation of uninvited COVID-19 people to facilitate control and reduce the chance of a new large-scale ignition “, the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine Victor Lyashko said, explaining the need for a regulation.  “For the attention of citizens, intending to cross the administrative boundary line with the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol”

The Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the AR of Crimea Anton Korynevych accompanied the Ambassador to the checkpoints “Kalanchak” and “Chaplynka” at the administrative boundary line with the temporarily occupied AR of Crimea and city of Sevastopol as well as he met with Mykola Yakymenko, the Deputy Head of Kherson Regional State Administration and Oleksandr Samoylenko, the Head of Kherson Regional Council.

Today, Anton Korynevych, Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Darya Svyrydoba, the First Deputy participated at the discussion panels of the scientific – practical conference “International criminal Justice: Ukrainian perspective”, dedicated to the implementation of the international criminal law in the national legislation of Ukraine. The conference was held within the framework of the Week of International Criminal Justice, co-organized by the Center for Civil Liberties, Ukrainian Association of International Law, Department of Criminal Law Policy and Criminal Law of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Mission of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law. “Participation in discussion panels of the scientific-practical conference “International criminal justice: Ukrainian perspective”, dedicated to the implementation of the international criminal law in the national legislation of Ukraine”
